Serena's 2nd Birthday was SO MAGIC! It was Abby Cadabby from morning 'til night. Grandma Sue and Grandpa Kevin were visiting from South Carolina and we had a great time celebrating Serena's special day with them.
In the morning, Serena, Grandpa Kevin and I went to the playground at Elm Creek Park. If you have time to make a visit out to the western suburbs, this is a must! The best playground around and WOW! did Serena have a lot of fun. Then, we came home and Skyped with Serena's cousins, Maggie and Jimmy. It was so much fun to include them in Serena's day!
Later, we opened gifts, ate a big dinner and enjoyed a very yummy Abby Cadabby cake semi-home made by Mommy & Grandma Sue.

SO AWESOME: Serena can count to 20, sing the A-B-C's and spell her own name. She loves to paint, color, dance and sing. Serena will shout "Hey, People!!" to get your attention and when she does, she often finds it appropriate to call everyone together for a "Family Hug."
STILL WORKING ON IT: Serena still snuggles with her Binky and Blanky Bear at night. She is very curious about potty training, but after a few major successes, the princess has taken a hiatus from the throne.
