Serena's Pumpkin Day

Serena and Mommy got in to the harvest spirit and had our very own Pumpkin Day! Follow along as we take you through our festive adventures.

MORNING
8:45am  We started the day by making delicious Pumpkin Pancakes. Serena enjoyed a special heart shaped pancake made by Mommy with love ; )

9:30am Next, we played many (non-pumpkin themed) rounds of her favorite new game, Elefun!

11:30am After getting all dressed up in her Halloween costume, Serena made her debut at the Otsego Pumpkin Festival as Agnes from Despicable Me. This year, Serena picked out her costume all by herself. She absolutely loves the movie and perhaps she identifies with the tiny little cutie from the film. Her disguise was adorable, but not widely recognizable. Oh well, she was happier than a fluffy pink unicorn!

AFTERNOON
3:00pm  After lunch and nap time, Serena and I put up Halloween decorations around the house. She enjoys putting gel window clings in her play area. As the seasons change, so does the decor.

Our "Spooky" sign was a gift from Grandma Sue. The little Mickey Mouse charm reminds us of our fun vacation to DisneyWorld in October 2010.

6:30pm What could make a great day even sweeter? Decorating Halloween Funfetti cupcakes! Together, Serena and I mixed and baked the cupcakes. Once they cooled, Serena frosted and topped her cupcakes with orange and black sprinkles ... one by one by one.

7:30pm  After so many delicious cupcakes, we had sprinkles everywhere! Time to take a bath and relax at the end of our very yummy Pumpkin Day!
