End of Summer

Summer was coming to an end. So, our little family made a spontaneous trip up to Crosslake for some R&R before a very busy week ahead. Serena's highlights included her visit to the ice cream shop, the Pine Peaks Gift Shop and the candy store. Mine were a long overdue Andee Shandy and a four mile walk with Lulu. Together, we went on a treasure hunt around the yard to search for the following items:

1. One red leaf
2. One yellow leaf
3. Three acorns
4. One pinecone
5. One purple flower
6. One smooth rock
7. One squirrel (good thing we never found one because it would not have fit in her treasure bag)

It was a perfect weekend and Ellie enjoyed her first visit to Crosslake out of the womb. The last time we were there was Memorial Day Weekend when I sat in the lazyboy with braxton hicks contractions for three days. It seems like that was just yesterday!
